Mike Kelly focuses his practice on Criminal Defense, particularly felonies, as well as Employment Law, Civil Rights, and Personal Injury. He is a highly experienced trial lawyer with success in cases ranging from defending Class A Felony charges to Employment Discrimination cases and Civil Rights claims against law enforcement and CPS.
Mike is an elected member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Board of Governors, and he performs pro bono legal work for the Innocence Project Northwest at the University of Washington School of Law.
He earned his undergraduate degrees from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, followed by a Master’s Degree in German Literature from the University of Washington prior to earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law in 2001.
Outside of work, Mike is an active member of the greater Seattle community. He is head coach for teams in the Ballard Youth Soccer Association and Ballard Boys and Girls Club baseball program. He has served as the elected Legislative Representative on his sons’ public elementary school PTA Board, and is a member of the Ballard Chapter of Ducks Unlimited Committee.
