Marieke Benner

Marieke was born in the Washington DC/Northern Virginia area. The daughter of an internationally acclaimed maritime attorney, coupled with the environment proximity to the federal government, the head law enforcement agencies, and the national historical museums facilitated an interest in law.
She graduated from Penn State University with a double major in Psychology, and Crime, Law & Justice, and a minor in Womens Studies (with many of her classes focusing on women in the justice system).
She has worked as a research assistant in a graduate program in Social Psychology relating to gender, race and the justice system while in college.
After interning with a law firm for a summer, working as a public relations spokesperson and sales associate for a national retail businesses throughout her college career, her varied background and multiple degrees in studies make her an excellent, well-rounded employee for the subject mix at Gehrke, Wegener & Doull.
